TheRocky Mountains are majestic.
I visited the Banff Centrefor Arts and Creativity twice where I took Science and Communications residency and participated in the Adventure Filmmakers Workshop.
Yoho National Park is in the Rocky Mountains, in eastern British Columbia, famous for the Takakkaw Falls.

The most famous of the Rocky Mountains is Lake Louise. Its water has a unique white turquoise colour. This is thanks to waterfalls coming from the glacier. On the shore of Lake Louise there is a huge hotel – the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. For every Canadian citizen this spectacular scenery and beautiful terrain is a part of their identity.

While I was staying in Banff Centre just after arrival I was surprised by the number of warnings against bears in the forest. After a few days of hesitation I decided to take a short walk in the forest. I took a path leading to the Bow River. It was not far from the road. To stay calm, I told myself that a chance of meeting a bear was very small. And then it appeared. A black bear stood behind me on the path, not far, just 10 meters away. I froze for a while. And then with curiosity I started looking at the bear. It ignored me, crossed the path and went away. Then I decided to do the same and remembering the warnings I started making noise. I started to sing and whistle while walking through the forest towards the main road. When I reached the edge of the forest I felt like a newborn.
Later during my stay in Banff I could very often see cars stopping on the road and drivers wanting to take a look on deers and bears from a safe distance. Hiking around Lake Louise I passed many tourists who had attached bells to their backpacks to make noise for bears to make them go away.
